சூரரைப் போற்று" - an EI View

"சூரரைப் போற்று" அக்குவேரு ஆணி வேராக பலரும் பிரித்து மேய்ந்து விட்டார்கள்.  அதிலும் வழக்கம்போல முரண்பட்ட கருத்துகளும் வந்து போய்விட்டது. 

 ஒரு எமோஷனல் இன்டெலிஜென்ஸ் பார்வையில் இந்த படத்தை அணுகுகிறேன்.  படத்தில் வரும் பாத்திரங்கள்  அனைத்தும் ஏதோ ஒரு வகையில்  உணர்ச்சிகளைக் கொட்டிக்கொண்டே இருப்பார்கள். ஒவ்வொரு பாத்திரமும் அவர்களுக்கு வழங்கப்பட்டதை  சிறப்பாக செய்திருப்பார்கள். அங்கங்கு சென்டிமென்ட்களைத் தூவி  இயக்குனர் சுதா கோங்குரா நம்மை உணர்ச்சியால் கட்டிப்போட்டு இருப்பார்.

 பல நேரங்களில்  நாயகன் மாறனாகிய  சூர்யா ஏதோ ஒரு டென்ஷனில் சுற்றிக்கொண்டு இருப்பது போலவே இருக்கும்.  கோபம் வரும்.  ஆத்திரம் வரும். அழுகை வரும்.  இயலாமை வரும்.   ஒரு ஹீரோத் தனம்  இல்லாத சாதாரண மனிதனாக,  இந்த சாதனையைச் செய்தது போல படத்தில் காண்பித்து இருப்பார்கள்.   அது தான் படத்தின்  வெற்றி.  ஆனால் இந்த திரைப்படத்தில்  சூர்யாவை விட,   EI கற்ற  இரு சிறந்த பாத்திரங்களைக் கூறுவேன். 

 ஒன்று அவர் கூடவே இருக்கும் அவருடைய மனைவி பொம்மி.  சூர்யாவுக்கு சமமான, வித்யாசமாக சிந்திக்கும், தைரியமான, பொறுமையான பாத்திரப் படைப்பு. பல  காட்சிகள் இருந்தாலும், குறிப்பாக இரு இடங்களை கூறவேண்டும்.

 முதல் முறை.  மாறன் பொம்மியை கூட்டிக்கொண்டு கேக் டெலிவரி செய்ய பைக்கில் செல்வார்.  நண்பருக்கு போன் செய்ய சொல்லி பேஜரில் ஒரு செய்தி வரும்.   வண்டியை நிறுத்தி பக்கத்தில் இருந்த போன் பூத்தில் அவரின் நண்பருக்கு  அழைப்பார்.   விமான கண்காட்சிக்கு அவர் பார்த்து வைத்த விமானம் வரவேண்டும் எனில்  அந்த விமானத்தின் ப்ளூ ப்ரிண்ட்  இருந்தால் மட்டுமே அனுமதி கிடைக்கும் என அவர் கூறுவார்.  ' வேறு யார்க்கும் இல்லாத புது ரூல்ஸ் நமக்கு  மட்டும் ஏன்' என சூர்யா உடைந்து போய் விடுவார்.  அந்த டென்சனில்,  என்ன செய்வது என  தெரியாமல், போன் பூத்துக்கு பணம் கொடுக்காமல் அப்படியே பைக் நோக்கி செல்வார்.   'காசு குடுத்துட்டு போங்க என அதன் உரிமையாளர்' பின்னால்  வர,  பூத் வெளியே நிற்கும்  பொம்மி 'அண்ணே  நான் குடுத்துக்கறேன்" என்பார்.  சூர்யா பைக்கை பதட்டமாக உதைத்து ஸ்டார்ட் பண்ணி, ஒரு பத்தடி ஓட்டி  செல்வார்.  பொம்மியை விட்டுவிட்டு செல்வதை உணர்ந்துவிட்டு, வண்டியை நிறுத்தி  திரும்பிப் பார்ப்பார்.   அந்த இடத்தில் அவ்வளவு பதட்டம் தெரியும்.   ஆனால் பொம்மியோ, முகத்தில் குழப்ப ரேகைகள் படித்திருந்தாலும்   தலையை லேசாக ஆட்டி, ஒரு கையில் கேக் பிடித்துக்கொண்டு மறு கையில் அவரைப் போகச் சொல்லும் உடல்மொழியோடு, "நான் ஆட்டோல போயிக்கறேன்.." என்பார். 

அதேபோலத்தான் கிட்டத்தட்ட அனை

த்து பிரச்சினைகளும் முடிந்து குட்டி விமானம் பறக்கத்  தயாராக இருக்கும்.  மினிஸ்டர் உள் இருக்க குட்டி விமானத்தில் முதல் முறையாக ஏறி கிளம்ப முற்படும்போது தீ பிடித்துவிடும்.  ஒரு வழியாக எமெர்ஜென்சி லேண்டிங் செய்து வெளியே வருவார்கள்.  சூர்யாவுக்கு எப்படி நடந்தது என குழப்பம்.  விமான தளத்தை விட்டு வெளியே வந்தவுடன் அவரைச் சுற்றி நிருபர்கள். பல கேள்விகள் எழுப்புவார்கள்.  பாதுகாப்பு வசதி இல்லையா என்பது உள்பட.  'அதைப்பற்றி நான் விளக்குகிறேன்' என்பார். 

 அப்பொழுது  தூரத்தில் இருந்து பார்த்துக்கொண்டு இருக்கும் பொம்மிக்கு பிரசவவலி வரும்.   அந்த இடத்தில சூர்யா பொம்மியின் வலியைப் பார்த்துவிட்டு பதைபதைப்பாவார்.  அப்பவும் பொம்மி "நான் பார்த்துகிறேன்..நீ போ" என ஒரு தைரியத்தை கொடுக்கும் சொற்களை உதிர்ப்பார்.  பதட்டமில்லாமல் பொறுமையாக 'என்னை நான் பார்த்துக் கொள்கிறேன்.  நீ கவலைப்படாம  தைரியமா பேசு' என்பது தான் அது. அந்த  இடங்களில் எல்லாம் பொம்மி பதட்டமடையாமல் இருப்பார்.  அவரின் உணர்ச்சியை மடைமாற்றி வேறு கனிவான சொற்களின் மூலம் பிரதிபலிப்பார்.  பொம்மியின் அந்த சிறு பார்வையும், அந்த உடல்மொழியும், சொற்களும்  தான்  சூர்யாவுக்கு பூஸ்ட்.

இவர்கள் இருவருக்கும் நடக்கும் காதல் கட்சிகளின் கவிதையை விட,  இந்த இடங்களில் பொம்மியின் உணர்வு,  ஊக்கமாக  கண்கள் வழியே கடத்தப்படும்.

மற்றொருவர், மாறனின் மேலதிகாரியாக வரும் நாயுடு(மோகன் பாபு) அவர்களின் கதாபாத்திரம்.  அவர் ஒரு ராணுவ அதிகாரி என்பதாலோ என்னவோ எந்த ஒரு இடத்திலும் அளவுக்கு மீறிய உணர்ச்சிகளைக் காட்டிக் கொள்ளவே மாட்டார்.  அவருக்கும், மாறனுக்கும் ஒரு மோதல் போக்கையே ஆரம்பத்தில் இருந்து காண்பித்திருப்பார்கள்.  ஆனால் அதனைத் தாண்டி 'க்ளுக்' என  ஆனந்தக்கண்ணீர் எட்டிப் பார்க்கும், இரு நெகிழ்ச்சியான காட்சிகளில்.   

முதன்முறையாக குட்டி விமானத்தை தரை இறக்க விட மாட்டார்கள். மாறன், விமானத்தை ஓட்டும் நண்பர் சேவிடம்"நீ தாம்பரத்துல எறக்குடா நான் பார்த்துக்கறேன்" என கூறி, தாம்பரம் விமானப் படைத் தளத்தில் கட்டுப்பாட்டையும் மீறி இறக்குவார்கள்.  

அந்த விதிமீறலுக்காக நண்பர்கள்  மூவரையும் விசாரணைக்கு நிறுத்துவார்கள்.  அந்த காட்சி அவ்வளவு அழகாக இருக்கும்.  நாயுடு சேரில் இருந்து எழுந்து மிடுக்காக நடந்து வருவார்.   அவரின் பேச்சு தெலுங்கு கலந்த தமிழில் ரசிக்கும்படி இருக்கும். 'மேடே(Mayday) டிக்லேர் பண்ணி சென்னை ஏர்போர்ட்ல லேன்ட் பண்ணி இருக்கலாமல்ல' என கூறி அந்த இடத்தில் கேள்விகளைத் துளைப்பார்.   

இருக்கு முன்னாடி இதே மாதிரியான சம்பவத்தை அவர்களிடமிருந்தே போட்டு வாங்குவார். இறுதியில்

"டெல்லி வரைக்கும் எதிரிகளை சம்பாரிச்சிட்ட.  பைன் 25000.  மூனு மாசம் கழிச்சு கொடு."

அப்போதும் அவர்கள் நம்ப முடியாமல் நிற்பார்கள். "என்ன உங்கள கட்டிபிடிச்சு  வழியணுப்பனுமா? போங்க, "

மாறன் "என்னத்தான் உங்களுக்கு பிடிக்காதே, சார்?" என்பார்

"நம்ப இன்னிக்கு பொலிட்டிக்கல் ப்ரசர்ல்ல உன்ன உள்ள வச்சா,  என்னையே நான் மதிக்க மாட்டேன்... தம்புடு...நீ பண்ணனும்ன்னு நினைக்கிறது... உன் ஈகோ, என் ஈகோவ விட பெருசு.   ஒரு சோல்ஜர் அவனை நம்பி வந்தவர்களை உயிரோடு திரும்ப சேர்க்கணும்;  நீ இன்னைக்கு பண்ண மாதிரி.  யூ ஆர் எ லீடர் டுடே"  என்று கூறிவிட்டு ஒரு சிகரெட் எடுப்பார்.   அதன்பிறகு  சூர்யாவுக்கும், நாயுடுவுக்கும் நடக்கும் சிகரெட், வயசு பற்றி உரையாடல் ஒரு ஹைக்கு.  

முன்பிருந்த பகையை மனதில் வைத்து அவர் நினைத்திருந்தால், அந்த இடத்திலேயே மாறனின் கனவை தகர்த்து இருக்க முடியும். 

அதைவிட மிக முக்கியமான காட்சி.   பல பிரச்சினைகளும் முடிந்து, இறுதியாக விமானத்தை இயக்கும் சமயம். இரண்டு மூன்று நாட்களாக மாறன் தூக்கமே இல்லாமல் அலைந்து கொண்டிருப்பார்.  "நாமதான்டா பாதுகாக்கணும், இல்லன்னா தீ கூட வச்சிருவாங்க" என்று நண்பர்களிடம் கூறிவிட்டு அவர் விமானம் நோக்கி அயற்சியான உடற்மொழியோடு வருவார்.  அங்கு அவரின் மேல அதிகாரி, நாயுடுவும் அவரது குழுவும் stand-at-ease ஆக நின்று  கொண்டிருப்பார்கள்.  ஒரு சிறு புன்முறுவலோடு பேசுவார்.   "என்ன நெடுமாறன்  அந்த  கோஸ்சாமிக்கு மட்டும்தான்  ஆள் இருக்குமா?  நமக்கு இல்லையா? நம்மள்ள ஒருத்தர நாம கைவிடமாட்டோம்.  Go and take rest man" என்பார்.  

அவரின் பாத்திரப்படைப்பு எந்த ஒரு இடத்திலும் உணர்ச்சியை மிதமிஞ்சி வெளிக்காட்டாமல் இருக்கும்.  எந்த அளவிற்கு வெளிக்காட்ட முடியுமோ அவ்வளவு அழகாக ஒவ்வொரு இடத்திலும் வெளிப்படுத்தி இருப்பார்.   அதே நேரம் நாம் ஒரு முயற்சியை நோக்கி நகரும்போது எப்படி பழகிய மனிதர்கள் உதவுகிறார்கள் என்பதுவும்.  

பொம்மி, நாயுடு இரு பாத்திரங்களும் உணர்ச்சிகளை சட்டென கொட்டிவிடாமல்,  கதையை மேலும் அழகாக்குகிறது.

Billa 2007 - Review

Billa – Billa 2007

In the above list, old people are replaced by New people respectively in Billa 2007, most stylish film in Tamil. There is nothing to describe the story, since it’s remake of old one. However if you see everyone's performance (Actors & Techies) it’s awesome.

Before the camera:
Ajith, Nayndhara, Rahman and Prabhu have performed well.

Thala came back with smart & style. He looks like Hollywood actor in his black suit.
Here we have to tell the costumes used in the film. Mostly Black suits for all. Dark colour Shirts inside the suit. It’s perfectly matching with the suit and the combination is perfect.

If we compare with Old film, Velu Character is not up to mark in New One. Billa Ajith makes us to forget Billa Rajini, But Velu Rajini scores well than Velu Ajith.

Naynadhara, Lady Terminator of the film, fit for the character and equally performed with Ajit. Nameetha is the right hand for Ajith till Nayan comes in.

There is no Thengai Srinivasan Character in new Billa.

In camera: Nirav Sha gave Hollywood look to the film, Wide angles, Night effects, car chasing, fight and many more to count. Light blue lightings are eye-catching.

Behind the camera: Yuvan, has put very good effort for the Background music but not for the songs. Remix songs are good, but My name is billa voice doesn’t match with Ajit. Sevelkodi tops all the songs. When we moved out from Theatre, will hum background music (Whenever Billa comes into the screen) rather songs.

The Camera lightings & BG Music used in the film, gave the film 007 effect.

We have to thank Dirctor Vishnu for not having the below,
- more dialogues, especially punch dialogues &
- Lengthy climax
- Slow motion in the stunt

Kudos to him and he handled the charters carefully to not making the film worst than old & Gold Billa

All the above if the film is dubbed in English, it may be a give a Hollywood movie feel.

Billa - romba NaLLaa

Azagia Tamil Magan (ATM) – Review

ATM is not a usual Vijay film because it has Vijay and Vijay. That is the only difference I found.

As you guessed, one Vijay plays a hero role and the other villain. Our hero is a college student and a good athlete in running. In one of the athlete event, he makes a poor guy to win and got a place in our Heroine Shriya’s (a multi millionaire’s only daughter) heart…

Then what next, yes your guess is right…they fall in love and not accepted by the parents… After so many dramas and bla bla stories, both their parents accepted… Meanwhile the hero came to know that he got some extra ordinary power by which he can sense some future incident, and hence he sensed Shriya will be killed by himself… So he avoids her and leaves to Mumbai…


Now, as expected, our Villain Vijay is coming into the picture. When our hero reached Mumbai, he saw our villain doing stunt on the road… Before Hero meets Villain, hero met an accident and became unconscious.

Villain goes to Chennai and by accident , Shriya meets him and assumes as our hero. She took him to her home and our Villain started enjoying luxurious life. At the same time, hero got recovered and started to Chennai. Before Hero meets Shriya, Villain tells Shriya that there is another person like him and is trying to make a false impression on the hero. When the actual hero comes back to Chennai, no one believes him..

At last, Shriya found the truth... then a climax fight between hero and the villain. In the Climax, villain admits himself by Shriya’s single word (kadavule…) and that made a classic comedy of the movie. :-)))

Vijay makes little voice modulation to differentiate between two Vijay. Director Barthan, maiden film for him, used Vijay’s sense of humour for Villain role, is lovely to watch. Especially, villain’s dialogue ‘Yevalalvo seirom, idha seyamattoma’ makes you laugh a while.

ARRs songs are rocking especially in Valayapatti & Remix of old song Ponmagal Vanthal. Intro song of Vijay, Ellaappughazhum has good lyrics (by Vaali) but doesn’t go well with Vijay. Namita, pair for Villain Vijay, dances with him for a song ;-)).

Film is too long in the first half and climax too…

On the whole, it is truly for Vijay fans…

Sivakasi Tamil Movie review

Formula: Love + Comedy + Action + sentiment = Masala

Vijay owns a welding workshop in Ranganathan street (Very good art). People address him as Sivakasi and he introduces himself as an orphan. He doesn't cares about anything

Asin is an college student, grows in love with vijay because of vijay's advise in the very first meeting. Vijay too fall in love with asin when Asin's father gives the complaint abt him in the police station. If you expect that Asin father is a villain, it is false. He gives his support to the lovers.

Later Asin knows that vijay has his parants and he left his home in childhood days because of some problem made by his brother(Nice and unexpected flashback). Asin wants him to come along with his parents to her home for discussion about their wedding. From there story moves to Village.

Prakashraj is his annan and villain. Prakahsraj tortures his mother. Vijay goes there and sees his mother & sister's poor married life. He also knows that his annan is the reason for his father's death. Vijay makes a promise to retain everything from his brother. After that he would say abt him to his mother & his sister. The rest of the story is how he captures the property from Prakashraj.

Nowadays director's creativity starts from the title itself. Whenever you expect something in the film the director twist that one, so that the film is not so boring. But he could have reduced more dialogs (Advice?) for Vijay. Story & screenplay in this film is good. Election scenes are different from other films.

Srikanth Deva has done a good job in the songs (palaya nedi adithaalum) as well as in the background Music. But in the background music he used only one instrument with randakka randakka beat. Vada vada is going to become a children's singing song like devuda devuda and nee yentha uru.

Prakashraj enters with the dialogue "Yen prambarai sotha vikkira nane kavalai padalai,Nee yenda kavalai padure". Whenver he plans for his victory in the election, Vijay changes that plan as favor for him. For example, kodambakkam area song with Nyandaara.

Asin has done a excellent job. Like Ghajini, in this film also she lies that she has one sister who looks like her. Because of that Vijay gets confused so many times and that makes fun. She danced like Saroja devi in vadumanga song.

Finally abt Vijay, yentha scene ku vijay vanthalum oru different entry with back ground music udan varukirar (Konjam over taan, but very first intro seen is good). First half he makes comedy with his Kuttani in Chennai.. Second half he makes adhiradi against Prakashraj in the village. He has acted very well.

Love + Thriller Movie

Nowadays Recent Tamil movies are centered on some medical terms..

In this movie we would know a new medical term called Short term Memory loss. B'coz of heavy attack in the head, the attacked person will be able to remember incidents that happened in only last 15 minutes not more than that... Director AR Murugadas linked this story with real story of kidnapping children to Mumbai...

Asin is a Model and doing kutti kutti roles in the Advertisements... Surya is a MD of Air voice Cellular...His company wants to put a tower in Asin house.. For that Surya's company people get in touch with Asin for permission. The Adv Director mistakes that Surya proposed love to her thru their subordinates. Asin also agreed that for time being...

One day accidentally she gives an interview to Kungumam that she loves Surya..In one day she becomes popular... Surya sees the article and wanted to meet her..When he meets Asin, she has the opinion that he is also a model asking for chance bcoz of her sudden fame. Surya admired her helping tendency and did not disclose to her that he is the MD of the Cell company...
After sometime both start to love each other.. When she goes to Mumbai, she saves 25 girls life, who have been kidnapped by villain group. From there problem starts for her and she is killed by the villain and Surya gets attacked with the above disease. Then he takes revenge on the villain with the help of Nyanthaara..

Konjam konjam logic idithalum good screenplay... Director punch anga angavechurukkar... Instead of hero introduction song, Asin is introduced by a song...She is beautiful in the entire film.

Asin & Surya acted very well and also their eye expressions are too good. Nayantara has no chance for acting only running ;-))

Nothing spl in the villain group excect Asin kolai syiappadum vidham… ioooo.. All the songs are good by Harris. Sometimes background music swallows dialogues...

Padam mudiym podu ore oru kavalai... Asina koonu pottangale.... ;-((
